New solar greenhouse soil fertility

In the process of newly building a solar greenhouse, the back wall uses a large amount of soil, and most of the organic soil-rich topsoil that has been cultivated for many years is taken away. In addition, the mechanical operation is used in the new construction, and the soil structure is destroyed and gradually becomes a solid unstructured state. Vegetable production requires abundant organic matter (between 4% and 6%), moderate sandy soil texture, good agglomerate structure, deep soil layer, suitable acidity and alkalinity, loose soil, and difficult to form and breathe. Therefore, the newly built solar greenhouse should pay attention to soil improvement, cultivate soil through soil cultivation and increase soil organic matter.

1. Soil cultivation: through deep digging, drying, loosening, crushing and leveling the soil layer and the ground to deepen the plough layer, improve the soil structure, and regulate the existence of water, fertilizer, gas and heat in the soil. To loosen the soil layer and increase the total pores and non-capillary pores of the soil, thereby increasing the aeration and water capacity of the soil. Through the cultivation, the soil layer that has been gradually changed into a solid unstructured state due to the destruction of mechanical pressure is turned down, and the lower-layer soil with better structure is turned up to restore the soil tillage layer and the aggregate structure.

2. Combine farming, increase the application of organic fertilizer, and blend the soil: Since most of the topsoil rich in organic matter is removed during the new solar greenhouse, the primary problem of the new greenhouse is to increase the organic matter content in the soil. Soil organic matter has the nutrients needed to provide crops and improve nutrient availability, improve soil physical and chemical properties, and enhance soil fertility and cushioning properties. It is best to apply organic fertilizers containing lignin and cellulose, such as cow dung, sheep manure and crop straw, in the new greenhouse. The application rate of organic fertilizer per mu should be about 0.5-10,000 kg. However, it is not possible to apply fertilizers such as chicken manure and pig manure with quick-acting nutrients and quick decomposition. Therefore, the fertilizers contain less lignin and cellulose, and have little effect on soil humus.
