In a recent emergency, firefighters in Zhongwei City, Ningxia, faced a critical situation where a vehicle blocked the path of their fire truck. The incident occurred when a car was parked in a way that obstructed the usual passage, causing delays in rescue operations. In response, four firefighters quickly moved to the sides of the obstacle and used a specialized tool to lift the vehicle, clearing the way for the fire trucks to reach the scene promptly. This quick action saved crucial time, allowing the team to effectively manage the disaster at its earliest stage.

On June 10, the newly established training grounds of the Zhongwei Fire Department were put to use, with innovative methods being tested and refined through repeated drills. These exercises aim to improve the efficiency and adaptability of the firefighters during real emergencies.

Recently, Captain Yang Zhonggao and other members of the Zhongwei Fire Team leadership visited grassroots units and learned about recurring issues where fire lanes were often occupied, leading to delays in rescue operations. Recognizing the urgency of the problem, the department took immediate action by allocating funds to purchase new mechanical car shifters for each squad. A pilot program was launched at the Special Service Squadron, focusing on developing and practicing the "vehicle mover" technique to enhance operational readiness across the city.

Captain Yang repeatedly emphasized the importance of mastering these tools, urging officers and soldiers to practice extensively and ensure they can handle the equipment efficiently in real situations. Chief Li Wenqi also engaged directly with the frontline personnel, discussing the limitations and weight capacities of the car shifters. He encouraged them to identify any issues during practical use and make necessary adjustments to improve performance and reliability.

Currently, the Special Service Squadron is conducting research and innovation on new tactics—specifically the "vehicle mover" exercise. After field testing and live demonstrations, the team has begun training first-line firefighters to enhance their skills in responding to various accident scenarios. This initiative is helping to build a more agile and effective firefighting force.

The introduction of new equipment and the development of innovative techniques have significantly strengthened the city’s firefighting capabilities. Commanders and officers are now more adaptable in their strategies, ensuring faster and more efficient responses during emergencies.
