On April 1, Ma Jian, the deputy mayor of Zhengzhou City, visited Fuyang City to conduct an in-depth investigation into the region's industrial development. During his visit, Ma emphasized the importance of prioritizing industrial economic growth, enhancing industrial leadership, and ensuring the successful achievement of annual targets. His visit aimed to assess progress and provide guidance for continued development.
Songyang Jie, Wang Xinting, and Wang Xin, key officials from the municipal government, accompanied Ma Jian during the research activities. The team visited several major enterprises and industrial parks, including Henan Shaolin Bus Co., Ltd., Wuzhou International, Zhengzhou Xingshifa Door Industry Co., Ltd., and the Zhengzhou New Material Industrial Park. These visits allowed the officials to gain firsthand insights into the current state of industrial operations and future plans.
At a subsequent symposium, Wang Xin, the deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, provided a detailed report on the city’s industrial and economic development, focusing on the progress of the Zhengzhou New Material Industrial Park and the patent navigation experimental area. He highlighted the strategic role of these initiatives in driving innovation and sustainable growth.
Since the start of the year, the city’s science and technology and industrial economy have shown steady performance. In the first two months of 2025, the added value of large-scale industrial enterprises reached 4.57 billion yuan, representing a 13.9% year-on-year increase—exceeding the annual target by 1.9 percentage points. This marked Fuyang as the top-performing county in Zhengzhou.
With the new material industry, centered around superhard materials, now established in Fuyang, the New Material Industrial Park has been guided by patent navigation strategies. Through coordinated efforts, investment promotion, and project construction, the park has made significant progress. The establishment of the National Patent Navigation Industry Development Experimental Zone in August 2013 further solidified the city’s commitment to innovation-driven development.
Ma Jian urged the city to prioritize industrial economic development with the goal of "optimizing existing industries and expanding new ones." He emphasized the need to strengthen the leading role of the new material industry and modern equipment manufacturing, both of which are central to Fuyang’s industrial cluster. He also called for close attention to project progress, accelerated structural adjustments, continuous investment attraction, and enhanced enterprise support to ensure the completion of annual targets.
Regarding the Zhengzhou New Material Industrial Park and the patent navigation experimental area, Ma stressed the importance of understanding the relationship between the two initiatives. He encouraged a pragmatic and innovative approach to industry development, highlighting the significance of the patent navigation experimental area. He urged officials to take responsibility, focus on key areas, plan strategically, refine policies, and promote collaboration to accelerate the pace of development in both the industrial park and the experimental zone.
