Fertilizer mixed application "five should not be"

1. Ammonium nitrogen fertilizer should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizer. If mixed application will produce ammonia volatilization, resulting in nitrogen loss and reduced fertilizer efficiency. Commonly used ammonium nitrogen fertilizers include ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, ammonium phosphate, etc., and alkaline fertilizers include steel slag phosphate fertilizer, lime nitrogen, lime, and ash.
2. Quick-acting phosphate fertilizer should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizer. When quick-acting phosphate fertilizers such as superphosphate, heavy superphosphate and alkaline fertilizers are mixed, it will cause degradation of phosphoric acid, reduce the content of water-soluble phosphorus, and reduce the efficiency of phosphate fertilizer.

3. Nitrate nitrogen fertilizer should not be mixed with organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizer contains a lot of organic matter, and in the case of nitrate-nitrogen fertilizer, denitrification will occur under the action of denitrifying bacteria, so that nitrogen is lost. Commonly used nitrate nitrogen fertilizers are ammonium nitrate, sodium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate and the like.

4, decomposed organic fertilizer should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizer. Various organic fertilizers with high maturity contain more available nutrients, and nitrogen is mostly in the form of ammonium nitrogen. If mixed with alkaline fertilizer, it will cause ammonia volatilization and reduce the nutrient content of organic fertilizer.

5. Mineral nitrogen fertilizer should not be mixed with unfertilized organic fertilizer. The unfermented organic fertilizer contains a large amount of cellulose, which has less carbon and nitrogen. When the microorganism decomposes cellulose, it absorbs a large amount of mineral nitrogen, converts inorganic nitrogen into organic nitrogen, and delays the fertilizer efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer. Therefore, fresh organic fertilizer containing more cellulose is best not to be mixed directly with mineral nitrogen fertilizer. Generally, it needs to be piled up and decomposed before being mixed with mineral nitrogen fertilizer.

Iron fertilizer should not be applied to the soil. Iron fertilizer is easily fixed by soil and converted into poorly soluble compounds to promote fertilizer efficiency. Foliar spray should be used. For example, spraying 0.2% to 0.5% of ferrous sulfate on the surface of fruit leaves can prevent iron deficiency.

Nitrate nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied to rice fields. Nitrate ions dissociated from ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and sodium nitrate are easily leached to the deep layers of the soil in the rice field, causing denitrification and loss of nitrogen. The application of nitrate-nitrogen fertilizer in dry land should also avoid pouring large water on heavy rain or after application.
