The first solar micro power sewage treatment project was completed in Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province

Recently, a reporter learned from the Jiuzhaigou County Environmental Protection Bureau that the province's first solar-powered micro-sewage treatment pilot project has been completed in Majia Township and is now officially entering the trial operation phase. This innovative initiative marks a significant step forward in addressing environmental challenges in remote areas.

In recent years, due to financial constraints at the grassroots level, funding for infrastructure development in remote rural areas has been insufficient, leading to outdated environmental facilities. Untreated domestic sewage has caused severe pollution of surface water sources. To protect the ecological environment and explore a new model for sewage treatment in remote villages, the project was selected under the guidance of the provincial environmental protection department. With strong financial support and technical assistance, the project was finally established in Shengnan New Village, Majia Township, Jiuzhaigou County.

After nearly five months of construction, the entire pilot project has been successfully completed, including the installation of all necessary equipment. The project, which cost nearly 400,000 yuan, consists of several key components: inlet grille wells, anaerobic tanks, anoxic tanks, sedimentation tanks, and wetland pools. Domestic sewage is first collected and enters the grid well, where suspended solids are filtered out. It then undergoes dephosphorization in the anaerobic tank, followed by treatment in the aerobic and anoxic tanks to remove ammonia nitrogen. Finally, the treated wastewater flows into a solar-powered aerobic reaction pool. Solar photovoltaic panels provide the necessary energy, enabling the removal of metal ions through optoelectronic processes, ensuring that the final effluent meets national discharge standards.

This pioneering project not only addresses local environmental issues but also sets a promising example for sustainable sewage treatment in remote communities. (Reported by Liu Yanrong, Wang Qian, Li Jingzhi)

Low Porosity Refractory Brick

Low porosity clay bricks are made of low aluminum mullite as the main raw material, formed by high pressure molding and high temperature sintering. The main mineral composition is mullite phase, the product has excellent high temperature physical properties and chemical erosion resistance.
Low porosity clay brick stability is good, the degree of erosion does not occur sudden change, than ordinary clay brick life increased by 2 to 3 times. Thermal conductivity, specific heat and solubility, respectively, than ordinary clay bricks 2 times higher than 10% and 40%, heat storage capacity than ordinary clay bricks 50% to 60% higher than the thermal efficiency of the kiln can be improved.

Low porosity clay bricks are characterized by:
1. Low porosity, 13 to 15%;
2. Load softening temperature is high for about 1472 ℃;
3. High compressive strength at room temperature, generally about 100MPa;
4. Good volume stability at high temperature and good abrasion resistance;
5. good resistance to infiltration and erosion.

Low porosity clay brick as a good clay refractory brick products, so often used in chemical erosion, temperature fluctuations in the environment, such as steel, glass, chemical industry. The effect is quite obvious in the use of glass hot room and the use of iron water tank.
