New analytical instrument gas chromatograph developed successfully

At present, the "miniaturization" of analytical instruments has become an important direction in the research of analytical chemistry and analytical instruments in the 21st century, and has penetrated into the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering and life sciences. In particular, miniaturized portable gas chromatography has shown great vitality in environmental monitoring and military applications. Foreign related commercial instruments have already been introduced to the market. Recently, the domestic commercialized instruments have finally appeared in the field of micro gas chromatography. At the inaugural “National Chromatography Instrument Manufacturers User Dialogue” that ended recently, representatives from Shanghai Jingke and East and West Electronics introduced the company's latest miniaturized portable gas chromatography products.




The GC190 Micro Portable Gas Chromatograph is the result of eight years of innovative research by Fudan University and Shanghai Precision Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd. Two of the core technologies are the on-column heating system with wide temperature control range, fast temperature programming and rapid cooling function; the micro-hydrogen flame ionization detector with high sensitivity binary gas system is the first in the world. In addition, advanced technologies such as micro valve parts, safe hydrogen storage systems, and micro air pumps have been adopted for the first time in domestic gas chromatographs, and five patents have been patented.




The GC-4400 portable photoionization gas chromatograph of East and West is another way. The instrument uses photoionization detection technology (PID), especially the key part of it - vacuum ultraviolet light source, has reached the world advanced level. The development of this instrument is also one of the key support projects of the Science and Technology Enterprise Technology Innovation Fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2005. According to the research and development personnel of East and West Electronics, the detection limit of GC-4400 can reach 0.3ppb (benzene), which is an order of magnitude lower than the general FID.




The birth of these two chromatographic instruments shows the determination and courage of China's gas chromatograph manufacturers to achieve leap-forward development, and also marks that China's chromatographic miniaturization technology has been squeezed into the international advanced ranks.

Venous Cannula

Venous cannula is also a deep venous puncture catheter. The method is to select the appropriate puncture site and insert the needle under the skin, and insert the needle with negative pressure until the dark red blood is absorbed, indicating that the needle has entered the vein, and the guide wire is inserted. Withdraw the puncture needle to leave the guide wire in the blood vessel, and then insert the venous catheter that needs to be indwelled along the guide wire, then exit the guide wire, inject diluted heparin saline and fix the catheter, the deep venous catheterization is completed. The veins for puncture and catheterization are usually selected clinically, including the subclavian vein, internal jugular vein, and femoral vein. After the puncture catheter is indwelled, attention must be paid to the care of the puncture site to avoid infection with thrombus or catheter falling off.
