When processing the tooth sleeve of a certain product in our company's processing workshop, the inner spline and the center hole are eccentric due to the processing error, resulting in the partial side of the spline missing (up to about 2mm). Since each part of the product has entered the final assembly and the delivery date is approaching, it is decided to repair it under the premise of ensuring the performance.
Because the toothed sleeve has been finished, after research, first check the size of each part on the machine tool of the processing workshop, mark the non-conforming parts with a marker, and mark the thickness of the missing processing. After inspection, it was found that except for the lack of machining capacity on the side of the internal spline groove (see the drawing), the dimensions of the other parts were within the tolerance range, the processing defect area was 60mm×400mm, and the machining loss was 1~2mm.
Weldability analysis
The material of the toothed sleeve is 40CrNiMoA, and its chemical composition is shown in Table 1.
