Copper and aluminum prices continue to rise who will pick up the last stick

Recently, the copper and aluminum prices in the international market have continued to rise. The price of copper futures has reached a historically high point, and the price of aluminum has also risen to a high level in the past decade. On February 22, the London Metal Exchange's LME three-month copper futures closed at $3,242/ton, close to the record high of $3,280/tonne created in 1989; the recent contract closing price of the New York Exchange copper reached 3,307. 5 US dollars / ton, is higher in 15 years. At the same time, the three-month aluminum futures closing price of LME reached 1969 US dollars per ton, which is the higher price in the past ten years. In February, the average spot prices of LME copper and aluminum rose by 2.35% and 2.2% respectively from January, and rose by 18% and 12% respectively from the same period of last year. The rising prices of copper and aluminum in the international market have affected the simultaneous rise of the domestic market. At the end of February, the recent copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange rose to a record high of RMB 32,030/t, and the recent aluminum contract also reached a high of RMB 16,340/t. Domestic copper and aluminum prices in the domestic spot market also rose by a certain amount. The recent continuous rise in copper and aluminum prices in the international market is mainly due to the strong demand and the continuous depreciation of the US dollar. Last year, there was a large gap in global copper supply. The supply gap has been reduced this year. However, due to the increase in copper production in Chile, the United States, Indonesia, and other countries, mainly in the second half of this year, the global copper supply and demand gap in the first half of the year is still very large. According to forecast, this year's global copper consumption will reach 17.1 million tons, an increase of 4.2% year-on-year. Among them, China will top 3.57 million tons of consumption, an increase of 8.4% over the previous year. The gap between output and demand is about 220,000 tons. This year's global aluminum supply situation will not change much. It is forecasted that the world aluminum demand will increase by 6.2% this year to 31.8 million tons. Demand is greater than the supply of 234,000 tons. According to a survey by Reuters, the average aluminum price in 2005 was US$1,760 per ton, which was a 2.6% increase from 2004. The continued devaluation of the US dollar has further supported the high price of non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum. This year the United States announced a relatively high deficit since history. Some countries no longer consider the dollar first when it comes to foreign exchange reserves, and the dollar has returned to its decline. In the first two months of this year, the exchange rate of the US dollar against the euro has depreciated by about 4% over the same period of last year. From the point of view of the later trend, from March to May is the peak season for copper consumption, the demand for copper will further increase. The world’s two largest copper mining companies Phelps Dodge and Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold Company estimated on February 28th. The high global copper prices will not end in the near future. Due to the shortage of supply, international aluminum prices may continue to rise. The rising prices of copper and aluminum in domestic and foreign markets will transfer cost pressures to downstream companies and pose greater pressure on downstream companies, which should be of concern.

Which is better pull down or pull out kitchen faucet?

Pull-out Faucets take up much less headroom than a pull down model, making it a great choice for kitchens with cabinet space above the sink. If you have a shallow sink, a Pull-out Faucet may be more beneficial, as it has less splashback than the pull-down model.
