Recently, the research team of the Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hefei Institute of Material Science has made new progress in advanced nuclear energy software. The research and development results of the "Virtual Nuclear Power Plant Virtual4DS in a Digital Society" were published as cover articles in the International Journal of Energy of Energy Research.
Virtual4DS is a comprehensive simulation system for virtual nuclear power plants developed by the "Phoenix" team based on the needs of major nuclear engineering projects for more than 20 years. The system takes the digital reactor as the core and deeply integrates with the digital society. From the three aspects of nuclear reactor safety, radiation safety and environmental impact, nuclear emergency and public safety, it breaks through a series of core key technologies such as intelligent nuclear computing and innovates and develops "nuclear power plant-environment-society" "The comprehensive simulation of large space-time provides a new research tool and tool platform for nuclear energy system safety design, safety assessment, accident warning, emergency drill, emergency decision-making, environmental impact assessment, and social risk assessment.
The research team of the Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety has long been devoted to the research of comprehensive simulation technology of neutron transportation and advanced nuclear energy systems. The self-developed "Fenglin" series of advanced nuclear energy software has been applied in major domestic and foreign nuclear engineering projects such as the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor ITER. Focusing on the new requirements of advanced nuclear energy and nuclear safety, the R & D team will further promote the research and development and application of Virtual4DS.
