Xinmi City Industrial Project Centralized Groundbreaking Ceremony
As of the end of March, Zhengzhou City had already completed 3 billion yuan in industrial investment. Despite being a weekend, the industrial zone of Xinmi City was packed with people, as it was the day of the groundbreaking ceremony for the city’s major industrial projects. The event included six companies such as Henan Gongxin Huaxin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Zhongsheng Gear Co., Ltd., and Zhengzhou Pufa Paper Co., Ltd. These projects are expected to bring significant economic benefits once fully operational. According to Zhang Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Xinmi Municipal Committee, the city is committed to achieving an annual industrial investment target of 29 billion yuan. In 2013, Xinmi planned 114 key industrial projects, totaling 51.7 billion yuan in investment, with an annual planned investment of 9.73 billion yuan. So far, 16 new projects have been launched in the first quarter, with a total investment of 8.29 billion yuan. Zhang also mentioned that by the end of March, the city had already completed 3 billion yuan in industrial investment, showing strong momentum in development. The city is focusing on promoting industries like refractory materials, clothing, equipment manufacturing, and trade logistics, with each county-level leader responsible for developing at least one project worth over 100 million yuan. Xinmi City is also aiming to build two major industrial bases: a 100-billion-yuan refractory materials industry and a 40-billion-yuan brand clothing industry. These initiatives are part of the city’s strategy to upgrade its industrial structure and drive long-term growth. Wang Ming’an, a county-level official, shared details about the refractory materials sector, stating that they plan to launch 20 new production lines and 46 upgrading projects. The goal is to achieve 5 billion yuan in industrial investment and 60 billion yuan in sales revenue. For the clothing industry, Xinmi plans to develop eight brand clothing projects, aiming for 4 billion yuan in investment and 7 billion yuan in sales. The city is also working closely with major enterprises like Bosden and Hong Kong Swift Global to establish large-scale clothing parks. Several companies have already relocated to Xinmi, citing favorable conditions. Fu Guangming, Chairman of Zhengzhou Zhongsheng Gear Co., Ltd., said that moving the company headquarters to Xinmi was a smart decision due to cost savings, convenient transportation, and favorable electricity rates. Zhengzhou Fangzhou Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. also moved from Foshan, Guangdong, expecting high returns from their 150-million-yuan investment. Similarly, Zhengzhou Huate Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd. and Henan Xinke Electronic Control Equipment Co., Ltd. both praised Xinmi’s supportive environment and expansion opportunities. Hao Linlin, General Manager of Henan Gongxin Huaxin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of establishing a presence in the Central Plains region. His company is investing 1.24 billion yuan in a green technology project that will process 10 tons of electronic waste annually, with an estimated 1.89 billion yuan in sales revenue.
